Astrid Adler is one of a handful performing Gaelic or Wire Strung Harpers in Ireland. On this CD she recorded 11 tunes of which most are her own compositions. Astrid’s compositions have been fondly named real Fairy Music, direct from the source and very creative originals. She also developed a new Wire Harp Bass technique which she wrote about in her Harp Tutor Book, ‘Play the Companions’. It is the only practical explanation for the unison -ne cawlee- strings, normally double G in the bass.
